I agree. Conservative Youth are tired of the ideological games and failures of Liberal infiltrators and NDP government. We will fight for a true Conservative Party:
-Lower taxes,
-Lower spending,
-Tough on crime,
-Respecting 🇨🇦 History,
-Preserving property rights,
-Healthcare reforms,
-Removing trade barriers
Just to name a few.
I have made it my personal mission to ensure the BC Conservative Party is never handed over to anyone willing to dilute its base or abandon the principles and DNA it was built on.
I did not walk away from my livelihood to watch this movement be absorbed by Liberals or reshaped into something unrecognizable.
I have been approached by multiple campaigns, and I have been very clear about where I stand.
If I choose to join a leadership campaign, it will only be because I genuinely believe that candidate will defend Conservative values and has the strength to make history by saving this province as the next Premier of British Columbia.
Looking forward to seeing everyone everyone’s vision!
BC Conservative leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay responds to NDP attacks in a CBC interview this morning.
"We are not the extremists. They are the extremists. They're ideological extremists and they have had very radical policies that have hurt British Columbians."
Congratulations to the new leader of the BC Conservative Party and the next Premier of British Columbia @KerryLynneFindl for a hard-fought and well-deserved victory!
Looking forward to working with you to defeat the NDP and bring common sense back to BC! 🇨🇦
Congratulations to @KerryLynneFindl for winning the BC Conservative leadership race! She will make this party strong, confident, and will lead us to victory!
Thanks to all candidates who decided to put their bid in to lead the charge against the NDP. I am excited to experience the future of this party!
All the NDP care about is their far-Left ideology.
Picking and choosing which separatist movements to support based on their perceived ideological bent.
They will always sell out Canada if it furthers their dogmatic beliefs.
Lies, deceit and dirty tricks.
The more that's revealed about the CBC smear campaign targeting conservatives, RCMP veterans and just everyday Canadians, the worse it gets.
And despite what the Liberals say, if taxpayer money is being spent, someone needs to be accountable.
Wow. Shocked today to watch the Liberals and NDP vote against protecting the private property rights of Canadian homeowners.
When a citizen pays their taxes, follows the law, maintains their property and still cannot be certain that they own their own home, something has gone profoundly wrong.
Private property rights are not a luxury, nor an appendage to our system of government.
They are not some kind of optional add-on to our society or to our democracy.
They are quite literally the foundation on which Western civilization, capitalism and our economy are built.
For me, the defence of private property is and always will be a red line.
It is in every way a fundamental human right, and we must never submit to trade it away in the name of political convenience.
Every citizen deserves to know that their government will do whatever it takes to ensure that Canadians can trust that what they own is truly theirs.
Without exception.
Great to see you in BC, @PierrePoilievre!
I have known Pierre for a long time. He is a close friend and natural leader, well aware of the struggles of British Columbians.
As Premier, I will work closely with a Conservative federal government to restore security, prosperity, freedom, and patriotic pride in British Columbia.
Very sad to hear of the terrible and tragic loss of life out on the water near Powell River on Thursday.
Thinking of their families, and the entire community, at this challenging time. 🙏
So, it’s now official.
After trying to cover up their decision for the past week, the Liberals have admitted they will be grounding the iconic Canadian Snowbirds for the foreseeable future (after this air show season) with no replacement aircraft ready until sometime in the 2030s.
This just years after spending $30 million in taxpayers’ money to “upgrade” the aircraft to keep them flying until a replacement was found.
The snowbirds have served for more than 50 years as an iconic Canadian symbol that represents the very best of Canada both at home and abroad.
Serving as both a symbol of national unity and Canadian pride, as well as an important recruiting tool for the Canadian Armed Forces – all while captivating the Comox Valley (their home away from home) each spring as they conduct their pre-season training.
The government had 11 years to find and prepare a replacement aircraft for this special Canadian-made plane, but instead they dragged their feet.
I am also concerned about the intended replacement.
The government announced they intend to (eventually) replace our Canadian-made CT-114 Tutors jets with foreign-made propeller planes.
Leaving Canada as the only country of our major NATO allies to no longer deploy high-performance jets in this role, despite our long and storied history in aviation, and jet aircraft design and production.
Will be looking forward to pressing the government for answers (on behalf of Canadians) when Parliament resumes next week!
A special thank you to the people of Gold River for another engaging and thoughtful town hall!
Events like these are exactly why I love this role - real conversations, real concerns, real people.
That makes 8 town halls so far this year – looking forward to Texada next! 🇨🇦
Increasingly concerned about yet another Liberal bill called C-22.
This proposed legislation has the potential to massively expand the surveillance state in Canada and significantly lower the threshold for the government to access your personal information (including location data).
It would also require telecom and tech companies to create tools (i.e. backdoors) to access certain data from your devices and mandate the storage of that data for up to a year.
This would apply to every citizen, not just those under investigation, and could be expanded through secret ministerial orders that Canadians would never even know existed.
Equally concerning is that the legislation would lower the legal threshold for the government to demand and seize this information from companies, increasing the likelihood of errors and abuse.
Even setting aside the potential for abuse by our own government, the massive storage of this data creates new vulnerabilities that foreign actors could more easily exploit.
What’s more, aside from the obvious privacy concerns, many large tech companies and messaging apps are already warning that if this bill passes, they may have to exit the Canadian market altogether - including some companies currently based in Canada.
Now, law enforcement does have real and valid concerns about how long it takes to obtain crucial information (known as production orders) on genuine criminals.
But that problem can be solved without turning the entire country into a massive surveillance state and without turning every electronic device into a tool that can spy on Canadians.
A special thanks to my colleagues @strauss_matt and @jacobmantle for relentlessly digging into this issue, and for being determined to hold the government to account.
@Prominent_Bryan@VanIsleStuartD I had to submit 3 pieces and then they sent an email saying I needed further documentation to confirm my address that was already on 1 of the pieces I submitted.
