There were ancient formations in the US that were essentially identical to "henges" in the UK and elsewhere. This is the "Great Circle" at Newark, Ohio. It is a 30-acre enclosure with an outer wall of earth about 16 feet high with an inner moat 7-8 feet deep. @MotorCitySue1

I found this in a Museum library in Pella Iowa. Apparently I wasn’t supposed to go open or touch the books, but I asked my hand to find me something interesting and….Look at what they found in some mounds! ⁦@DrGregLittle2⁩

This is an oddity that was plowed up in a field adjacent to a mound in southeastern Tennessee in the mid-1800s. It has an effigy figurine affixed to the interior of a large shell. From: Thruston 1890.

When I get a chance, I'll post much higher quality video of us finding 31 crashed planes in the Bahamas. This is from 2007 at Andros Island. We had to walk through 1.5 miles on mangroves to get to this and then through water. It was very, very windy. My then 84-year old father went along with us.
