I did not pay for this blue check. It just re-appeared.
I'm so tired of covering for this shit. Over 30 years in the film business, and I've never seen anything as vile and despicable as Christopher Nolan making changes to the source material AND casting a Black person in the film. This just isn't done, and we in the film business don't stand up now, it will keep happening.
Nolan on why he gutted the real ending of The Odyssey: "The end of the poem is so grim and so misogynistic, I had to exclude some of that material."
He didn't adapt Homer. He edited him for wrongthink.
3,000 years of literature, rewritten because a millionaire director decided the original was problematic.
Note he waited until the film had been out a week to release this information.
Hollywood is intentionally destroying our culture. Do you get it now?
@BadFilmTakes1 I love Drive with a deep and endless passion, but I hear you. You'll like this - the screenwriter of Drive told me the elevator scene was his attempt to one up the stairway scene in AHOV.
@jakeures When I was writing the first Reacher movie, we knew it had to be an established movie star, but we all dreamed of finding the perfect unknown actor (sorry, Tom), AND he had to be American. 10 minutes into the first episode, I know our prince had finally come.
