@Cinloksyu_ Hi! Thanks again for sharing this (I'm the person talking to Jodie in the first clip). Could you possibly send me the video please? (I messaged you on instagram, but I don't think you saw it) Thanks again for the wonderful memory 😊
I've been really enjoying getting into cooking lately. Made a bloody lovely chicken curry last night if I say so myself! Delicious 😋
(Thought I'd restart posting on twitter with a stereotypical food post 😂)

“Overheard at a grocery store by someone waiting in line behind a woman speaking on her cellphone in another language. Ahead of her was a white man.
Man: “You're in America now. You need to speak English.”
Woman: "Excuse me?"
Man: *very slow* “If you want to speak Mexican, go back to Mexico.
In America, we speak English.”
Woman: “Sir, I was speaking Navajo. If you want to speak English, go back to England.””
Welfare reforms/cuts:
• 370,000 people on PIP now, will lose it - *average* loss £4500 pa
• 2.25m on UC Health affected by a freeze - *average* loss £500 pa
• 3.9m on UC only (without health element) better off by £265 pa on average
• extra quarter of a million people incl 50,000 children in relative poverty by 2029/30
Labour promised to protect the most vulnerable, yet instead of increasing support for disabled people and carers, they’re entertaining the idea of cuts? There should have been drastic increases to Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity (LCWRA), and Carer’s Allowance—not reductions. The cost of living has soared, but the government refuses to properly fund those who need help the most.
Carers in the UK get a disgraceful £81.90 a week if they work at least 35 hours—that’s barely £2.34 an hour—while in Germany, full-time carers can receive around €1,500 (£1,280) a month depending on circumstances. Instead of fixing this injustice, Labour is considering making things worse for our disabled people and their carers?
Meanwhile, billions are wasted—on failed government contracts, foreign aid to wealthier nations, and vanity projects—yet the solution is to target the most vulnerable in our society? I cannot believe I have to even type things like this, this isn’t just economic incompetence, it’s a national disgrace. Labour should be demanding proper investment in disabled people and carers, not floating ideas that will push them further into hardship. This is morally indefensible. What the hell are @UKLabour thinking, it should be a full U-turn and apology for the distress they have caused disabled people and people who provide their care.
No previous Labour government would ever consider cutting welfare to the disabled. But this is not really an authentic Labour government. They are so far removed from the once proud heritage of the Labour government who usually tried to protect the most vulnerable in society.
Sixteen disability charities have written an open letter to Rachel Reeves expressing alarm at reports that the government is planning to cut PIP. The impact of the proposed cuts could be “devastating”, pushing 700,000 disabled households into poverty.

The beauty of symbiosis in nature 🧵
1. The thinner tree was cut down years ago, and the larger one has been supporting and feeding it since then. They "wake up" together in the spring and "go to sleep" together in the autumn. This natural phenomenon is known as inosculation.
In Iran, a student harassed by her university’s morality police over her “improper” hijab didn’t back down. She turned her body into a protest, stripping to her underwear and marching through campus—defying a regime that constantly controls women’s bodies. Her act is a powerful reminder of Iranian women’s fight for freedom. Yes we use our bodies like weapons to fight back a regime that kills women for showing their hair.
This happened at Tehran’s Science and Research University She has since been arrested by the authorities.
Be her voice.
