Coachella 2025 will be remembered as a festival that compromised its moral and spiritual integrity. Goldenvoice, the festival organizer, facilitated this by allowing artists to use the Coachella stage as a platform for political expression. At a time when the world is experiencing significant unrest, music should serve as an escape, not a stage for political discourse. While festivals like Coachella showcase remarkable talent from around the globe, music's primary purpose is to unite people. It should not be a venue for promoting terrorist organizations or spreading hate. Green Day, a band I personally admire, chose to share their views on the Middle East during their Coachella performance. While I respect their right to express their opinions, such discussions would have been more appropriate at their own concert, not at a festival. Kneecap, an Irish rap group, took their performance to a different level by incorporating aggressive political statements. Their actions included projections of anti-Israel messages and hate speech, and this band openly support terrorist organizations. This behavior raises concerns about the appropriateness of their participation in such a festival and further shows they are booked to play in the USA. Reports indicate that Goldenvoice was unaware of Kneecap's political intentions when they were booked. However, after witnessing their performance during the first weekend, allowing them to perform again the following weekend suggests support of their rhetoric and a lack of due diligence. Scooter Braun, who has been involved in organizing the Nova Music Festival exhibit—a tribute to the victims of the October 7th attacks in Israel—has defended Goldenvoice CEO Paul Tollett as he attended the Nova Exhibit. If Tollett visited the Nova exhibit, he would have seen the portraits of every person that was killed that day and heard some of their voices on cell phone recordings, sent home to their loved ones. It is difficult to comprehend how if somebody saw this exhibit firsthand that they could book a band on their festival that is in support of what was done that day and supports the group responsible for this mass murder. Not one IDF solider was killed that day, just 1400 innocent civilians. Furthermore, the Independent Artists Group, which represents Kneecap, includes individuals of Jewish heritage. It is disheartening that they have not used their positions to prevent the promotion of such controversial messages. Shame on them. As someone with both Irish Catholic on my Mothers side and Ashkenazi Jewish heritage on my Fathers side, and extensive experience in the music industry, I understand the complexities involved. Goldenvoice's claim of being "blindsided" by Kneecap's performance seems implausible given the circumstances. I know for a fact that certain people in the industry had written to Goldenvoice, airing their concerns around the booking of Kneecap.
I urge you to join me in advocating for the revocation of Kneecap’s work visa.

Ian was a dear friend and mentor whom I was fortunate enough to get to know over the past few years. He was an inspiration and a rare talent in this world. I’m going to miss you, my life was richer for having known you. You’ll always have a special place in my heart.
It is with deep sadness that we share the news that Ian Punnett passed away from a brief illness yesterday. His keen intellect and delightful sense of humor will be deeply missed. Since 2000, Ian has been a valued host of C2C. https://t.co/BhcVkw7ISm
Congratulations to my son, Adam F, Goldberg, and his team won the Muppets mayhem for winning an Emmy for outstanding children's or family viewing series. So excited for you, Sonny boy
This ROCKS!! Congratulations to the cast and crew of #TheMuppetsMayhem, winner of the Children's and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Series! 🤘🎸🌟 #ChildrensEmmys
Never imagined I’d create a show worthy of an Emmy. And the best part is I made it with the most collaborative, amazing writers and crew ever. I’d truly trade this statue for a 2nd season, but PLEASE believe me when I say this is just the start of the muppet-verse. For real.
Alright y’all it’s about to go down!!! My new book will be released September 19 2023!! LESLIE FUCKING JONES!! And here are the dates to book tour! Can’t wait for y’all to read it!! https://t.co/GxDrfj7O7m
@adamfgoldberg you’ve done it to me again. Just like you brought me into your family with The Goldbergs, you’ve made me feel like I’m with the band @ElectricMayhem! I can’t wait to see what’s next!
@DinosaurDracula When I was a kid McDonalds on Okinawa had a banana shake and it was amazing! I think you would have liked it. It was a subtle taste. Let’s go to the mall (in Japan!)
Here's something you don't see everyday. This is an Ecto-1 Kid's Meal container from Hardee's, which was part of their big Ghostbusters II promotion in 1989. Originally, these were served with burgers and fries right inside. They're almost impossible to find nowadays.
This just in! Rich people wear clothes that cost lots of money! Someone tell the Oscars their carpet guests have money and ritualistically sacrificed the Lindberg baby! Is 2 even news any more?
According to a report, Gwyneth Paltrow's outfit during yesterday's jury trial in Park City cost about the same amount that a Utah minimum-wage worker makes in four years. (Before taxes) https://t.co/GgRGm1cF2F

@KUTV2News Soooooo? That means she needs to pay out? Stop running garbage and let the jury decide for itself. My underwear cost $20 a pair 20 years ago. So if I bump into “X” on the street I owe him money?
