This is just a small list of high-ranking Democrats attacking Donal Trump and pushing this rhetoric onto main stream media. It was viewed by millions and it ramped up on every lefty news network during the election year.

James Clyburn (House Majority Whip): March 19, 2019 – Compared Trump’s discrediting of institutions to Hitler’s rise, saying, “Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor of Germany. And he went about the business of discrediting institutions to the point that people bought into it.” On NBC News.
• Jerry Nadler (House Judiciary Chairman): March 19, 2019 – Compared Trump’s anti-immigrant rhetoric to anti-Jewish propaganda in 1920s Germany, noting it as “the same type of propaganda that we heard in the 1920s and World War I against Jews.” At a New York town hall, reported by CNN.
• Hillary Clinton (former Secretary of State and Democratic presidential nominee): November 8, 2023 – Likened Trump to Hitler, warning that his potential second term would be “almost unimaginable” and echoing Hitler’s tactics in undermining democracy. On ABC’s “The View.” She made a similar comparison on October 24, 2024, equating Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to a 1939 Nazi rally there, in an interview reported by Fox News.
• Joe Biden (President): November 14, 2023 – Assailed Trump’s “vermin” remark as echoing Nazi rhetoric from the 1930s, stating it “echoes language you heard in Nazi Germany.” To campaign donors, reported by CNN. He repeated similar ties on December 19, 2023, comparing Trump’s “poisoning the blood” phrase to Nazi language, in a fundraiser reported by Politico.
• Kamala Harris (Vice President): October 23, 2024 – Called Trump a “fascist” and said reports of him praising Hitler’s generals were “deeply troubling,” providing a “window into who Donald Trump really is.” From the Vice President’s residence, broadcast on PBS. She doubled down on October 24, 2024, at a CNN town hall.
• Tim Walz (Minnesota Governor and Democratic VP nominee): October 23, 2024 – Reacted to reports of Trump wanting “generals that Hitler had,” calling it “madness” and tying it to fascist tendencies. On MSNBC. On October 27, 2024, he compared Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally to a 1939 pro-Nazi event there, at a campaign stop reported by The Hill.
• Al Gore (former Vice President): April 26, 2025 – Compared the Trump administration’s “preferred version of reality” to Nazi tactics, while acknowledging the comparison’s weight. At a San Francisco Climate Week rally, reported by The Hill.
• J.B. Pritzker (Illinois Governor): February 19, 2025 – Compared the Trump administration’s tactics (e.g., blaming diversity for issues) to the “authoritarian playbook” that led to Nazi Germany, warning of democracy’s fragility. During his state budget address, reported by WTTW News.
