• Chris pleaded guilty, accepted his punishment and has lived with that incident following him for nearly two decades.
• Yet every time Chris receives an award or recognition, people immediately drag 2009 back out and diminish everything he’s accomplished since.
• Chris has been blackballed ever since.
• No major endorsements

CARDI B
• in 2019, Publicly admitted to drugging and robbing men during her stripping days. Saying she would do it again.
• Mocked DV
• Pleaded guilty to assault and reckless endangerment stemming from an altercation involving TWO WOMEN.
• Has received over 20 major endorsements since the assaults. From Nickelodeon to Chipotle.

So I have one question:

WHAT ABOUT CARDI B’S VICTIMS?

Why are Chris Brown’s actions from 17 years ago treated as a permanent disqualification from ever being celebrated again, while Cardi’s documented conduct doesn’t generate the same demand that she lose every opportunity? She assaulted two women and was found guilty of it. Do women not care because those two women weren’t famous?

Do male victims matter?

If Chris Brown must answer for his past forever, then why doesn’t that standard apply equally to Cardi B? You can’t scream “protect women” when Chris Brown gets recognized and suddenly discover forgiveness when a woman has victims of her own.
