I started working in a Consulting firm beginning of this month. And I have Soo much to share with you on my journey so far as a culture consultant. Stay tuned.
The mistake was never believing absolute truth exists.
The mistake was believing every human who claimed to fully carry it.
What do you think, can truth survive being told by broken people? 👇
🧵 In the 20th century, philosophers looked at two world wars, the Holocaust, and the atomic bomb and asked a brutal question,
If reason and science produced this much devastation, can we even trust the "grand truths" civilisation was built on?
That question became Postmodernism.
Man is finite. Limited by time, by culture, by his own blind spots. He cannot manufacture universal truth, he can only borrow fragments of it and call them his own.
But the God who spoke the universe into existence is not limited the way we are.
Nigeria is too brilliant, too creative, too culturally rich to settle for vibes and vapour.
We deserve content that builds something in us, not just content that passes the time.
Is anyone else concerned about this? 👇
🧵 There's a term going around Nigerian digital spaces right now.
The Olodo Uprising.
Coined to describe something a lot of us have noticed but haven't said clearly enough, mediocrity is no longer just tolerated in our online spaces. It is celebrated. Rewarded.
Every society that stopped valuing the difficult work of thinking paid for it eventually. Not all at once. Slowly. In the quality of its leaders. Its institutions. Its ability to solve problems that require more than a reaction.
