Every single day I wake up and grind with one mission on my mind, to give my mom and little sisters, and the rest of the fam the life they deserve. I push myself harder than ever so they’ll never have to worry, never have to work again. I want to be the best in the world, not just for me, but for them.
But then I look around and see athletes people who made it to that level I’m chasing, and some throw it all away. Bad decisions, crimes, reckless moves. Some even lose their lives in the process. Rest in peace to those who passed… I know deep down they had the same dream I do. They wanted to take care of their families, just like me.
It just hits different seeing how fragile it all can be. Makes me even more focused. I’m not doing this for fame or clout, I’m doing this for legacy, for my loved ones. I won’t let it slip. I owe them that much. That being said, those who have a chance to keep playing the game they love, take advantage of it.
