NGX For Beginners: Read This Before Buying Your First Stock.

1. Market opens 9:30am to 2:30pm only. Mon to Fri.

2. Open a CSCS account first. That’s your stock account in Nigeria.

3. Start with big companies. Dangote Cement, MTN, NAHCO, BUA cement,Okomu, JAIZ BANK, Airtel.

4. Check dividends. Many NGX companies pay you cash yearly.

5. Check volume. If nobody trades it daily, you won’t sell easily.

6. Stocks beat inflation. Cash in bank loses value every year.

7. Do your research. Don’t buy because of WhatsApp tips.

8. Be patient. NGX is long term game. Buy small, buy often.

How to buy the Dangote Sugar Rights Issue directly from the NGX website. Step by step.

Go to https://t.co/mrhOP1hUCn. This is the official NGX Invest portal.

SETTING UP YOUR ACCOUNT:

1. Click Create Account. Enter your full name, email, phone number and password. Use the exact name that matches your BVN.

2. Enter your BVN and upload a valid ID. National ID, passport, voters card or drivers licence all work.

3. Enter your CHN. This links your CSCS shareholding record to your NGX Invest account. If you do not know your CHN contact your broker or CSCS with your BVN.

4. Verify your email and phone number with the codes sent to you. Your account is now live.

SUBSCRIBING TO THE RIGHTS ISSUE:

5. Log in and go to your Dashboard. Click the Dangote Sugar Rights Issue 2026 offer card.

6. Enter your CHN or RIN. The platform will automatically retrieve your entitlement based on what you held on April 20, 2026.

7. Select your commission receiver. Meristem Stockbrokers, Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers or Vetiva Securities.

8. Enter the number of units you want. You cannot go above your entitlement.

9. Accept the terms and click Buy Now.

10. Complete payment by bank transfer or card. Save your confirmation receipt immediately.

Deadline is June 24, 2026.

If your entitlement shows zero on Step 6 you did not hold DANGSUGAR shares on April 20 and cannot participate through this route.
