Today, I proposed, and the Public Service Commission unanimously passed, a resolution for our agency to recognize every April as “Utility Worker Appreciation Month” to highlight the hard, dangerous work of all women and men who power our lives keep all utility services available.

The stunning lack of respect for all human life demonstrated by the 9/11 terrorists is a caution to every free nation, and we should be ever vigilant against those who wish to do us harm. We should also always thank and remember our first responders, the true heroes on 9/11
