I think I can say with clarity, based on the last year, that we need to do better at teaching the next generation:
1 the meaning of free speech
2 primary sources + how to find the truth
3 the scientific method
4 what the constitution actually says
5 how to avoid logical fallacy

I want Trump to be removed so that every 5th grader who asks “why was Mike Pence President for 2 days” hears a story about why white supremacy & fascism are threats to democracy. Millions of students in the next decades will ask this question and will know to reject fascism.

I've watched friends (& celebrities) be arrested on the Capitol steps for peacefully protesting things like gun control, the death penalty, and climate change. Today people breached barricades and stormed the building to try to curtail the election process. WHERE ARE THE ARRESTS

Best thing I did today was chat with a boy who was a 1st grader in our school district years ago. He’s now a 12th grader a few towns over & revisiting all the school districts he’s ever attended to get his records for DACA. 1/2
