The IOC has clarified comments made by president Kirsty Coventry on athlete compensation, following backlash over her remarks about not supporting direct payment for Olympians.

Coventry reiterated her position that she does not believe athletes should be paid for competing at the Olympic Games, instead pointing to existing support structures such as scholarships and development programmes.

Though the rifle was earlier passed by the equipment control, but was not allowed at ‘random check’ post match. A parallax view could be the reason.

An excellent 635.7 from Himanshu Dhillon in Mens’s Air Rifle at Munich World Cup. He is shooting for ‘Ranking Points Only’. Parth Mane shot 633.6, and highly probable to make it to the Finals from 1st relay. Coming up 2nd relay will see Arjun Babuta & Rudrankksh shoot.

Really feeling happy today to see my son getting selected for a Senior World Cup. It was exactly 20 years ago I took part in my first Senior World Cup and he will be the 2nd male athlete from #WestBengal to take part in Sr World Cup.
Adriyan earlier won 11 medals in Junior World Cup, Asian Championships & World University. But I’m sure a senior World Cup being a junior will be special for him.
