Kansas’ tax burden looks more like California's than our neighboring states. I signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge because Kansans deserve a governor who puts the people first, not government bureaucrats. I will always fight for lower taxes, and I’m putting that commitment in writing.

Folks are blown away when they hear that Kansas is taxed only 1% less overall than California, but sadly, it’s true. One Kansan at the Montgomery County Republican Woman had me walk through the numbers with her and was shocked at the result.

Our taxes shouldn’t be that high, and we’ll change it with a Kansas Comeback.
