मैं पत्रकार हूँ, किसी की पार्टी नहीं. देशभगतों की भी नहीं

गायक शुभ ने एक मार्च महीने में एक इंस्टाग्राम स्टोरी शेयर की थी जिसमें एक फोटो था. उस फोटो को तुरंत यह कहकर चलाया गया कि उसमें जो भारत का नक़्शा दिखाया गया है उसमें पंजाब और कश्मीर का मैप मिसिंग है.

जबकि उस आर्टपीस (फोटो) की सच्चाई कुछ और थी. उस समय पंजाब में पुलिस नौजवानों की बड़े स्तर पर गिरफ़्तार कर रही थी, ज़िलों में भयानक फ्लैग मार्च कर रही थी. पंजाब के पत्रकारों के सोशल मीडिया अकाउंट बंद कर दिये गये थे. उस समय आर्टिस्ट अमनदीप सिंह ने फोटो बनाया जो पंजाब में पुलिसिया दहशत से पंजाब में फैले अंधेरे को दिखा रहा था, जिसे प्रोपगंडा चैनलों ने हाथों हाथ लिया और कुछ का कुछ बना दिया. आर्टिस्ट के हाथ पाँव फूल गये. उसके बाद यह फोटो आर्टिस्ट लगातार सफ़ाई देता रहता है पर कोई भी उसके आर्ट पीस को ध्यान से देखने और सही मतलब निकालने में इंटरेस्टेड नहीं है बल्कि सिख अल्पसंख्यकों को टारगेट करने में व्यस्त है.

पुलिसिया दहशत क्यों पसारी जाती है यह तो आपको पता ही होगा न.

मैं आप लोगों की तरह कंगना रनाउत या अल्पसंख़्यकों के ख़िलाफ़ नफ़रत पसारने वालों के प्रोपेगंडा में नहीं पड़ना चाहता क्योंकि उस समय मैं ग्राउंड पर मौजूद था. एक बड़ा रिपोर्टाज लिख रहा हूँ उस एक महीने के ऊपर.

बाक़ी आप लोगों के मन में बहुसंख्यकवाद का गू (टट्टी) भरा हुआ है, जिसमें से हमेशा अधिक संख्या के दम पर कम गिनती के समुदायों के ख़िलाफ़ प्रोपेगंडा करने की बदबू आती रहती है.

Govt will most likely not grant licenses to any future "independent" TV news channels. So this can be effectively considered as the end of TV journalism in India.
