I recently visited the Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo to inspect the facilities for the upcoming Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77+China Heads of State and Government Summits.

I would like to express my appreciation to the Ruparelia Group for their commendable work in preparing the Convention Centre for these Summits. Their attention to detail and level of preparedness is truly praiseworthy.

However, I want to emphasize the importance of maintaining these high standards. It is crucial to conduct continuous checks on all amenities, ensuring they remain in excellent working condition not only during the Summits but also in the future.

This visit reaffirmed our commitment to hosting successful international events, showcasing the best of what Uganda has to offer, and ensuring that every guest experiences the warmth and hospitality for which our nation is known.

It was a great 2 days of stimulating conversations, learning and networking . Looking forward to unpacking all the lessons learnt into our day to day practice.

As is my duty but also my pleasure , I passed out 336 Armour Crews and 55 Armour Platoon Commanders who trained at Karama Armoured Warfare Training school.

I congratulate them upon finishing and implore them to choose patriotism before careerism. The UPDF is an institution of service above self.

They should also continuously learn about warfare. Building the force was due to the continuous learning. We were able to build the NRA/ UPDF because we were studying.

These graduates have a bright future because they are now entering a very disciplined force-the UPDF. With discipline, they will go very far.
I wish them good luck.

Last Sunday, we concurred the hills of Kampala in a run to transform public schools in Uganda.

One key takeaway from the #NSSFKampalaHillsRun was the importance of collaboration and shared responsibility in achieving a common goal. 8,000 people and 948 Million raised.
