I was out in ikoyi film the other day at 3am and they was a large crowd of thugs outside screaming TG Omori you go show us love before you comot for here. Long story short I snuck out leaving the shoot to my ADs and security with one more active scene left. My producer told me in the morning that the thugs broke the gate and injured the security who refused them access. It’s hell outside.

Mind you we pay for locations and settle every necessary people. Still bring in heavy security personnels but it’s still always total chaos.

The job gets harder by the day. If you are going to shoot in a studio you have to build a whole bustop set for crazy money and still pay vfx artist for set extensions. Something you could have easily shot at your bustop.

Shooting with all the thugs threatening and chanting your name at the background already put you under pressure and unnecessary rush. Most times you come with a creative plan but you are already fighting thugs for 4hours and by the time you are done, you feel already irritated so you just wanna go home, ending up with almost nothing after wasting millions on rentals, crew and cast.

And when God makes it easier and quick for you, you’d be tempted to question what everybody else has been doing and feel like you’re more intelligent or just more hardworking.
