The accusation is not “she was 16 so that alone is the rape charge.” Age of consent in Massachusetts is 16. The filing is about alcohol, alleged incapacity, and rape, plus furnishing alcohol to a minor.

There is already a separate April 2026 Miami civil lawsuit from a woman who said she was 16 when Peters allegedly had sex with her while she could not consent and later injected her on a livestream. That is a lawsuit. This is a criminal case.

This photo was taken in 2006 by Stephanie Sinclair. She named the girl as Ghulam Haider. Even the most ill informed expert on Afghanistan will tell you that Ghulam Haider is exclusively a male name.

This scene was created by Sinclair, this wasn’t during an engagement or during a marriage party. Sinclair told them to sit there on that cushion, with that curtain in the background, and then she took the photo.

She then went and “saved the girl” from the evil men that were trying to destroy her, and got international coverage for it, mainly because now, their NGOs were saving helpless women from evil Afghan men after the military solution failed.
