@Sean_Lunt I’d say it’s more how the league has panned out over the season. No one would have thought Newcastle and spurs and Chelsea would have been as poor as they have. Also cos he has sacrificed any youth development he needs to achieve it or wasted season

@Casey_Evans_ They looked to see if the player was in line, not looking at every cm of the attacker versus the defender. If you went back and forensically analysed a bunch of decisions from back then you would find it would lean more towards wengers rule than the current abomination

@CitizenSuburbia @AurelNz Not saying sack yet, but we spent over 100m last summer and we re likely to finish in similar position and no development of playing style. Still only able to win games by riding luck and grinding. Clearly a big gap between what we were willing/able to recruit vs manager desires

@Paddy_Boyland @TheAthleticFC Because on the pitch we re no better than the lower mid table/relegation threatened team they acquired 14 months ago. Despite now having 3 transfer windows to address key weaknesses I can’t think of 1 that has been addressed.

@CitizenSuburbia If the window closes without any further additions we ll be 3 windows into their tenure and objectively have 1 player on the pitch (kdh) that is an improvement on the 11 they inherited which was in a relegation battle.

@CitizenSuburbia I think we are falling into a no man’s land where we are looking for deals that just are not available to us. If the right deals are there more attractive clubs are taking advantage. The window to sell ‘new Everton’ is small before we re just mid table Everton in a new stadium

@Benjwinst this is starting to get said every window now. If there are decent players available for a fair value they get snapped up by clubs with more pull than us. We re getting stuck in no mans land where we re refusing to ‘overpay’ but not improving our first 11 to the extent we should
