@obviouspropaga1@ComicDaveSmith@michaelmalice I'm sure many had similar intents with the drug war "only targeting people lacing drugs with other drugs and taking advantage of etc", but we know how this plays out with the state.
@obviouspropaga1@ComicDaveSmith@michaelmalice I have an answer. The war on "human trafficking" takes innocent victims just like the drug war, most often sex workers.
That's not to say there isn't a real problem (just like with drugs) but unfortunately the state, as usual, harms more people than it frees.
@gdemchak17@sentientlentils@AndrewRogers@Aella_Girl "Free speech alternatives" probably came too soon after the first bans (ideological similarity).
We have to try again now that the bans are broader in scope.
@Aella_Girl@reddit Maybe you're misreading me, but I also want diversity of thought and the ability to congregate into useful communities.
Reddit has killed many communities for me over many years. Unfortunately its led to a lot of shitty attempts at alternatives. I want what we used to have.
Bullish on people replying "fuck you" instead of engaging in virtue-signaling popularity contests.
Because the data is fake and the logic is fallacious, debate doesn't mean anything anymore it's pure sophistry.
We've reached the "we're done talking" stage. It's us or them now.
