The more I touch grass the more I realize that the internet is not good.

Narratives defined by the desire for clicks, views, retention analytics and monetization really skews the integrity and honesty of things.

Lets not mention the algorithm. I see so many great messages posted but is suppressed because it doesn't follow a trend.

Honestly, I have 2 choices. Be one of those accounts that continues to promoted good energy or just leave.

Here is the thing. If most people on here only engage in the negative and rage baiting posts then is this a space I want to be around?

Today, I met a stranger in line at a grocery store.

We spoke about surface-level stuff, but shared some laughs.

Just two strangers in the same place doing the same thing, just letting time pass with a simple conversation.

Once I was done with the cashier, we wished each other well and we went on with our day.

Simple.

No agenda. No motive. Just allowing time to pass with good convo.

I honestly can't say the same for social media. Its hard to see someone's motive as most people aren't honest with it.

I walked into the store this morning and saw someone approaching at the same time. I held the door open for them. They smiled and said thank you.

Gestures of decency is a live and well.
