@Kagan_M_Dunlap What they don’t tell you the city turned the public lake over to the city water company(MAWS) without notice or public vote. Maws then banned all recreational act. & closed public access. Locals are PISSED.Looks to be a way to justify the closing and cover for backroom corruption
@Babygravy9 Locals have been raising hell over it puttting pressure on local officials. Could have been planted to justify closing public access and cover backroom corruption or could have been a pissed of local
@Babygravy9 I’m from mobile and there’s more to the story than being told. Mobile city unilateral gave this public lake over to the private water company without notice or a public vote on it.The water company then banned all recreational activities on the lake and people are PISSED over it.
@Pvtpyle44@guimarin You could be right idk. I just find the timing to be suspect. Don’t even think what it was even matters what it was or would have done, just that it was an explosive by the dam to create the fear of something happening to justify banning public use of the lake
@guimarin Yeah but we live in America and we weigh the cost of freedoms against the what could theoretically happen or we are supposed to. “What could happen” is just gov. tyranny dressed as safety. They didn’t hold a public vote on the issue for anyone to decide.
@attackdogX I’m from mobile and there’s more to this story. Mobile unilaterally turned the public lake over to the water company(MAWS) and they banned all recreational activities in it.the public is PISSED about it.Seem more like a plan to scare people and justify their backroom corruption
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC There have been no “crashed” planes they have said and it been widely reported they were shot with infrared guided manpads possibly supplied by china or Russia. If Iran hit a carrier the video would be absolutely everywhere
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC I know it’s crazy to believe but fire on ships do happen, all it would take is some tired sailors(they’ve had the deployment extended multiple times already) to not clean a lint ball out of the dryer and you got a fire.
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC If it was easy to hit Iran would have already done it by now,it would a absolute enormous propaganda win for them. They constantly talk about their hypersonic and ballistic missiles capacity and none of the ship have been hit
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC Missiles will always be a valid concern for any platform land, sea or air. But within a carrier strike group there a multiple on multiple layers of defense protecting it. Not mention it’s actually pretty nimble and fast to be as big as it is making it harder to hit moving.
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC Anti drone defense capabilities are catching up to drones https://t.co/cjTne9P8AK won’t be long before they are a much smaller threat
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC They are a lot harder to hit than most realize and it would take far more than drones to destroy a carrier, they could damage the run ways temporarily but not sink. It would take multiple large anti ship missiles to take out.
@Pennsylvanusx@JesseKellyDC Every major power in the world disagrees carriers are obsolete. China is currently building nuclear carriers now. The problem with carriers is the jets need longer range. That’s why the navy wants the FA-XX to replace F-18 for more range and stealth
@sdmat123@bencroyderived I honest to god don’t know where yall get this shit from, catastrophically lost? We took over 2 counties for 20 years and got politically tired of it. Militarily we laid waste to them scorched the earth and salted the fields then played wake a mole with the leftovers
@hot_rails@35mmAmerican Austal USA is basically a separate company for Austal. Australians were even allowed into company meetings with navy. It’s US designed and US built. Maybe inspired by some Australian designs but it was originally designed by Bath Iron Works
@hot_rails@35mmAmerican Don’t listen to these retards. They are all built in Mobile Alabama and owned by the US. How do I know? Welded pipe on them for 14 years. 95% of the talk about LCS comes completely out of people ass.
@JJ_hooray@MarioNawfal It might not be the ideal ship for the job but currently with recent decommissions, it is very very likely to be the best suited to handle the job of minesweeping & carrying helicopters for minesweeping since it has the biggest flight deck in the entire fleet except for a carrier
@JJ_hooray@MarioNawfal Slow down you showing the world you don’t know much more. Yes ships are made of metal, but it’s an independence class LCS and an aluminum hull. Guess what metal isn’t magnetic and certainly won’t cause mine detonation like steel. That’s right it’s aluminum.
