Now we are studying probability - a powerful research tool. We know P(heads)=1/2 so why can we get 3 heads out of 10 flips? The answer is the Law of Large numbers, i.e., the sample is too small. In research it is important to use samples large enough to yield reliable results.

This week we spent a moment focusing on something that would bring us peace of mind. For some this was research assignments, assignments for other classes, a brief nap, or a computer game. All are great choices.
