Housing is fundamental to opportunity, resilience and dignity. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to turn global housing goals into practical action at scale. Together, we will open doors to housing solutions that help build safe and sustainable communities globally.
Strengthening partnerships for housing at #WUF13 🤝 .
Great meeting with Jonathan Reckford, CEO of @Habitat_org.
Today, we renewed UN-Habitat’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity, reinforcing our shared commitment to advancing adequate and affordable housing for all.
My heartfelt thanks to our incredible volunteers, staff, homeowners and partners whose commitment helped us open doors to new opportunities, stronger communities and brighter futures. Their dedication this week shows what’s possible when we come together with purpose.
On Friday, we reached the end of an unforgettable week at the 2026 #CarterWorkProject in Langston Park, where we joined @AtlantaHabitat to help build 24 affordable homes. The Carters’ belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live continues to guide our mission.
Great to be with Chip Carter celebrating the 40th #CarterWorkProject. For 50 years, Habitat has helped more than 65M people build better futures through housing and it will take public, private & social sectors working together to create more solutions. https://t.co/ONbnVzcXz3
Day 1 on the #CarterWorkProject build site & the energy here in Atlanta is extraordinary. Standing with volunteers, homeowners, and partners today shows what’s possible when we unite for stronger communities. Here’s to a meaningful week and all the doors we’ll open together!
Kicking off the 40th Jimmy & Rosalynn #CarterWorkProject during Habitat's 50th anniversary year feels especially meaningful. Tonight’s opening ceremony set the stage, and tomorrow we’re ready to hit the build site with @AtlantaHabitat and thousands of volunteers.
Great to speak with @SaportaReport about this year’s #CarterWorkProject with @AtlantaHabitat from May 3-8. Returning to the state where Habitat’s global movement began is especially meaningful as we mark our 50th year. https://t.co/fVJYA8KumA
Great talk with @NonProfitTimes about economic pressures facing families, multisector collaboration & Habitat's work. Our mission remains clear — bringing people together to #OpentheDoor to a world where everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. https://t.co/F6QVTWQ2Kp
As we enter Easter weekend, I’m reflecting on the hope and agape love that has guided Habitat for 50 years. In a time of housing challenges and global division, our mission matters more than ever. Wishing you renewal, joy and love this season.
Explore 10 artist-designed doors in Washington Square Park's Garibaldi Plaza today & tomorrow. Ring the doorbells, hear from the artists and discover real Habitat homeowner stories. Let's #OpentheDoor to brighter futures.
For 50 years, Habitat has partnered with 65M+ people to help them experience the stability of home. Yet 1 in 3 people globally still lack stable shelter. Today we launched Let's Open the Door to bring urgency to the housing crisis.
Loved being with @IUPhilanthropy to talk about Habitat’s mission and the power of service to build bridges in a polarized world. Seeing individual messages of hope come together into a shared ‘house of hope’ showed how unity creates a foundation for future generations.
Thank you @builderonline for the thoughtful conversation about the 20th #HabitatontheHill event and the opportunity to highlight the momentum behind bipartisan housing legislation that will increase affordable housing access to families nationwide. https://t.co/s6mxJMbzWS
As the Senate now considers the ROAD to Housing Act, leaders have a chance to combine both bills to deliver the most consequential federal housing legislation in a generation.
On Capitol Hill for the 20th #HabitatOnTheHill, joining nearly 500 advocates to push for action on the supply of affordable starter homes. The House just passed the Housing for the 21st Century Act — a major step — but the work isn’t done.
Encouraging to see housing on the global stage. Thank you @Bloomberg for the opportunity to discuss the affordable housing crisis, the critical need to increase the supply of starter homes in the U.S. and the broader push to expand access to adequate shelter globally. #WEF26
We need stronger commitments, smarter policies, and greater investment to expand housing supply and ensure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home. #WEF26
This week, I’m focused on one message: housing needs to be a priority in every major dialogue — including foreign assistance and international development. With 1 in 3 people living in inadequate housing, we know there are solutions to encourage supply of affordable housing.
Our CEO @JReckford checks in from the World Economic Forum's annual meeting in Switzerland, where he will be speaking and moderating multiple sessions. Housing is on the agenda at #Davos26 as leaders from government, private sector and civil society recognize a global crisis.
