Complaining about nightlife when you *checks notes* choose to live in Soho is like living in South Kensington and complaining about the museums. Or moving to Hackney and grumbling about creatives. Living in Richmond and hating green space. It's all getting a bit silly, isn't it?
Southwark’s Planning Chair opposed a 860+ home development because locals couldn’t afford the new homes.
It’s a common misconception. So I’ve decided to explain the evidence showing how luxury flats can make housing more affordable on the Old Kent Road.
@BadreNicolas Very odd, because even as a resident psychiatrist (UK) I’d immediately stop the stimulants and consider starting treatment - though would want to weigh up if may resolve without.
What’s the reason in the US for the poor efficiency? Not something I’d usually associate with US
@nuwandiss@SarahJH7777@hundredfamilies True, usually only for a few weeks. But it’s embedded within the Old Age community team so that patients move between the two very seamlessly accessing more “assertive” care when it’s needed - without a rigid referral process.
@nuwandiss@SarahJH7777@hundredfamilies In West Sussex (Chichester specifically) we have an Intensive Support service for patients 65+ that covers both groups 😇 thought it was one of the best services I’ve ever worked in.
@autisticwitter@LizPeecock@MrsEmmaWebber@hundredfamilies Why did they scrap CPA?
Why did the focus move away from violence risk management?
Why did they cut beds?
Why did they try to abolish CTOs?
Why did stigma override public safety?
Why has supported accommodation declined?
Why has long term care been lost? >
@autisticwitter@LizPeecock@MrsEmmaWebber@hundredfamilies The #NottinghamInquiry will hear from so many people
It’s right that the focus should be on the clinical care
But it’s also important to understand the systemic issues
Who were the architects of the systems nationally?
Why did they scrap Assertive Outreach? >
@BadreNicolas Pregabalin is definitely less “fashionable” in the UK now compared with a few years ago - with effort to deprescribe/avoid it especially in primary care. Though it still remain as 3rd line for anxiety in NICE guidelines I believe.
The media industrial complex would have collapsed on itself like a dying star if a Democratic president held a Roaring 20s themed party at a private golf club while millions of working poor in America were about to lose access to food aid but w/Trump it's fucking crickets.
This has nothing to do with the NHS’s unpreparedness. If the drugs did something meaningful, we’d have all moved heaven and earth to deliver them to our patients. The reality is that they just don’t do enough to justify risks, cost and what we’d have to give up to fund them.
@lewis_goodall Yeah I have approaching 90k debt now. I wouldn’t really mind except the interest is so high I’m basically trapped paying it off until it’s written off. My earnings are reasonable - but I don’t even pay off all the interest each year.
