@lounge_dawg After how glorious the UGA hate watch was for regionals with Florida, GT, Tennessee all getting their shit kicked in by mid majors and OU. This weekend could either be blowing MSU out or getting blown out. There’s really not an inbetween
@carnoa12@DanIsett Texas needed a pinch hit HR to win that game and stay alive… I hate Texas tech with a passion. But at least know what you’re talking about.
@grabbamanuts@AndyBoBandyyy@Chipdawg69@CBCJakeMck So the #4 team in the country coming off a sweep of a top 20 rival on the road, was slumping at home? That genuinely sounds so unbelievably stupid. Not to mention the SEC tourney. The downside with MSU is their lineup disappears against quality pitching.
@grabbamanuts@AndyBoBandyyy@Chipdawg69@CBCJakeMck Not to mention this is all while Henry Allen, another .300 hitter is out with a season ending injury. Also have Bryce Calloway and Jordy Oriach, not to mention Jack Arcomone who’s been hot.
@grabbamanuts@Chipdawg69@CBCJakeMck For one game, his backup is hitting .285, with 18 HRs, OPS over 1.000, and great defense. Only downside is 58 strikeouts this season.
@JonnyRedUGA@AnthonyDasher1@LM_Sports_Media A better question would be, if that’s the case, how come not a single program does it? They want their top guy to drive in runs. Not need to be driven in. That’s the purpose him in the two spot. Get Phelps in and live with the result of what happens behind him.
@JonnyRedUGA@AnthonyDasher1@LM_Sports_Media The dodgers and Braves also have a ton of power in the back half of the lineup. Those lineups are nearly full power with hardly any contact hitters. While UGA also has a lot of power, they have a ton of hitters for average. The MLB and college will never be comparable.
@AnthonyDasher1 At this point the lead off could either be Lujo, Kenny, or Ryan Black. It seems like people forget he lead off multiple games early in the season.
@JonnyRedUGA@AnthonyDasher1@LM_Sports_Media This might be the dumbest take. No offense to you, but Jackson will 100% stay in the 2 whole. A guy with nearly 30 HRs needs people to be on.
@RealtorAthensGA@AnthonyDasher1 I don’t think it would be a good idea to have Shaggy and Hudson back to back. High strikeout guys, and Hudson hits 50% home runs when he does hit. I’d have Shaggy at 4, Kenny and Wynn at 5 and 6, Hudson 7. Maybe even move Branch up to 7 and Hudson to 8. Black could also hit 1.
@jbrewut29@dkrewz@BrooksAustinBA Sark was phenomenal at offense but sputters against talent. I get the players have to do the works and drops didn’t help, yet the run game was non existent and play calls were just trash at times. DeBoer is in year 3 at bama. He’s also on the hot seat for me.
@jbrewut29@dkrewz@BrooksAustinBA Anytime Sark goes against someone with comparable talent, like UGA and OSU. He folds completely. He is essentially the James Franklin of the SEC. Don’t be blind. Venables has been known for a historic defense, he succeeded at that last season. Texas had a miserable offense. -
@jbrewut29@dkrewz@BrooksAustinBA If you think Texas has had a worse roster than any of those teams the past 2 years, you’re completely insane. Texas as been favored as the champs in the preseason for a reason. They have a top 3 roster in the sport the past two years, debatably #1. Yet they have failed to win.
@dkrewz@BrooksAustinBA Sarkasian has done far far less with far far more. One of the most talented rosters and couldn’t even make the playoffs. Got beat by a 4 win Florida and wasn’t even competitive in Athens. He shouldn’t be having those issues anymore. He’s had plenty of time to build.
@LockDownLee4@chxnluh Definitely miss his leadership and bat slightly, not fully. UGA has great depth and replacing Tre with Michael O’Shaunessy. He has 18 HRs and slugged 2 already in critical situations in Starkville. Only question is he strikes out a lot more and defense is slightly worse.
