Since this probably isn’t going to air I’m not breaking any rules by saying this but I got to see Bernadette Peters perform “Anything You Can Do” live in person and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since.
Watching the grand final of Come Dancing '90, it's very interesting to see the show which eventually became DWTS over here in the States and what parts we tossed/kept.
You can tell it's not the same show by any means, but there's some shared DNA that shines through. Neat.
It felt very bittersweet in the studio. You could tell the past few shows that Pat wasn’t exactly thrilled about doing another run of shows, but he even left the door open for doing more shows eventually in his goodbye speech. I’ll miss him as a host dearly. He is an icon. (3/3)
Yesterday I had the immense privilege of seeing Pat Sajak’s final final final Wheel of Fortune EVER. It was a very emotional moment. A regular game of Wheel followed by a brief thank you to the cast and crew and crowd and a multi minute standing ovation. (1/3)
Somehow it felt like more of a proper send off than the week leading up to his syndication finale. It felt more like what he wanted. Half the crowd didn’t even know Pat would be hosting, much less be his final show. I don’t even know how much on-air fanfare there’ll be. (2/3)
Found a box set of old clips from The Tonight Show, including ISO clips from the finale. Using the magic of technology, they can be synced up and all shown at once!
