There is a reason why children are banned from bars. It’s not a proper environment for them. The same holds true for dogs. Leave them at home! If you are too traumatized to go out without your dog, don’t go out. If you are going out to show them off, nobody cares.

Spent a few days in the NC mountains. It makes you realize how living in south Florida warps your world view. People are so friendly. My first instinct is to be suspicious. That comes from 49 years of living in South FLorida.
