Scammers recently emailed the private email account of a Jersey resident in an attempt to access confidential information. If you receive an email you do not recognise - DO NOT reply to it - and NEVER share your personal information with a source you do not recognise.

@JEPnews In light of this unfortunate incident, we urge you to never give out bank info over the phone and to hang up if you feel pressured or if you receive a call from an individual or company you’ve never heard of.

Challenge any calls you suspect may not be legitimate.

We've had a lot of calls about a scam call from wjhat appear to be local 07797 numbers. It mentions the NCA and National Insurance numbers being terminated or being used fraudulently. If you get a call like this be aware it is a #scam. Don't engage and hang up the phone.
