"What's the most unusual thing you've ever fixed at the Repair Café?"

A lady brought in this proximity detector. When movement is detected, the white strip of pink LEDs flashes and a beeper goes off. But what made this unusual? It's used for paranormal investigations.

The KEWTECH PAT tester we have costs about £500. A few years ago when we originally contacted the manufacturer for a discount for the Repair Café, they were so impressed with the work we do, they gave it to us free of charge!

Safety first: Co-organiser Mike Panter PAT testing electrical appliances when they arrive, before passing them on for repair.

Mike, Jennifer and Phill did the PAT training course with 4Safety and we will probably offer this to more of our volunteers.
