Congratulations to next-year Alton 7th Grader Eli Thompson, who today placed 5th in the 6th Grade Social Studies category at the National Beta Convention. We believe that Thompson is the 1st Alton Trojan to place at the National Convention! Way to go Eli! We are all for you!

Today I recognized Payton Elkins of Hardin County for winning our slogan contest. This year's slogan for our school-age voter registration program is "Make Kentucky Proud: Register to Vote!"

JTA had a very special visitor today when @KYSecState paid a visit! One of our own was selected as winner of the annual Voter Registration Slogan Competition. 8th Grader Payton Elkins was selected among hundreds of submissions across the Commonwealth for this honor!
