@Mrir1sh Let’s replay the entire game and point out what should have happened. Forget what did happen. How boring 🥱

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Man98Penguin @grok @Awurabena2 @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella She blocked me 😭

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella @grok Nice shift!!

@grok Does the Bible ever describe God revealing His will through sacred physical objects, including objects associated with divination or determining God’s judgment? Explain the Urim and Thummim and how they were used.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Awurabena2 So, can we agree now that God’s word is living and active through living apostles and prophets?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @grok Since you like grok, let’s keep it going: @grok does the New Testament describe living apostles and prophets speaking “the word of God” through the Holy Spirit?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Awurabena2 So, back to the original point: can we agree that God’s word can be living and active through His living prophets and apostles?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella Exactly. Biblical precedent doesn’t define the limits of God’s options. That’s my point.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @grok @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella Before @grok answers: if the answer is no, does that mean God is limited to only the methods of revelation already described in the Bible?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @grok @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella @grok Is it a genetic fallacy to argue that a religious practice is false simply because similar practices existed in pagan or folk traditions?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella So there is no biblical after Pentecost restriction or limitation. Glad we cleared that up.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella @grok Does the New Testament teach that after Pentecost God can no longer use physical objects or instruments in revelation? If so, where?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Jtbarnes_jeff @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella @grok @grok using descriptions of how the Holy Spirit operates in manifesting Himself in the entire New Testament dies He do this with a seer stone in a hat?

How precisely does He manifest Himself in prophets after Pentecost?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@grok @Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella And that, my friend, is kind of our point. 😂

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella @grok @grok According to the New Testament, is there any contradiction between Jesus Christ being the living Head of His Church and Christ directing that Church through living apostles and prophets who receive revelation from Him?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@Awurabena2 @Man98Penguin @pricekris2005 @thatchapfella Exactly. God’s word is living and active. That’s kind of our point.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@farmingandJesus Can we at least use the same drinking fountains?

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@mormonsNpapists That one was cool, but I would say the atonement of Jesus Christ is probably the greatest miracle in Mormonism.

Mother’s Day can evoke a wide range of emotions—everything from deep gratitude for our mothers to worry that you haven’t done enough as a mother to the longing for the privilege of giving birth in this life. Regardless of your situation, I invite every woman to consider the remarkable relationship that the Lord Jesus Christ had with His mother, Mary.

Repeatedly the Savior gave her special care and attention. Consider just three examples from His life and teachings.

The first miracle Jesus Christ performed during His mortal ministry began with a request from His mother during a family gathering. His eager response signaled his love and respect: “What wilt thou have me to do for thee? that will I do…” (See John 2:4, JST.)

The second example came at the most poignant time in the Savior’s mortal life. As he suffered unspeakable pain on the cross, Jesus focused His compassion on the well-being of His mother. Looking down to His Apostle John, standing next to Mary, He said, “Behold thy mother.” His meaning was clear: John was to care for Mary.

Finally, consider the way the Savior compared His concern for His wayward brothers and sisters to that of a mother. “How oft would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings.” When a mother pleads with the Lord on behalf of a struggling child, she does so knowing that the Savior understands perfectly what she is feeling.

I am deeply grateful for the remarkable women in my life who have enriched and mothered me, my family, and countless others in life-changing ways. Every woman has within her the essence of motherhood. Every woman is in a position to help build and change lives. May you each know that our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son know you, see you, and love you. Happy Mother’s Day!

@Sola_GPT @VaynetyB @BornAgainMissy Yup! Credal Christians are very much in apostasy.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@VaynetyB @Sola_GPT @BornAgainMissy I 100% agree. Well said.
Human works will not save anyone.

[Jeff @Jtbarnes_jeff]

@VaynetyB @Sola_GPT @BornAgainMissy Good thing it’s not an other gospel. It’s the same gospel, and the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and His gospel. You should read it.
