@formula_g201 I don’t disagree with that at all. I just think CJ Allen is one of the most pro ready guys in the draft and he fixes a lot of overshown can stay on the field. Can’t forget shemar James flashed some last year as well and new coaching could elevate him.

@BengalYouTube That’s an outlier from the last 11 super bowls. Chris jones, Aaron Donald, Jalen Carter, Byron Murphy, and Vita Vea have been the most impactful defensive players in recent super bowls. How many of the highest paid edge rushers in the league have a ring? Not 1 in the top 10.

@PaulSilanoJr @cdpiglet Name a team that’s won a Super Bowl in the last decade paying an edge rusher top dollar. You can’t. The most important defensive player in those super bowls has been an interior DL, which is what we turned Parsons into, so I wouldn’t say we got pennies in return.

@cdpiglet @PaulSilanoJr I bet you thought the value of Pickens was too high last year too. You don’t maximize a championship window by sitting on your hands and “building for the future” when an elite offense is already in place. You spend assets on elite players regardless of their contract situation

@PaulSilanoJr @cdpiglet There are probably 12-15 true first round grades this draft. Therefore 20 is a toss up. Trade it for an established player and see what happens although I’d much rather trade it back and get a 2nd rounder out of it

@jtuck151 We have secondary problems. Maxx Crosby doesn’t fix those. In this age of football where elite interior DL play is much more valuable than edge rushers, there’s no reason to waste multiple years of draft capital or a WR that makes our offense unstoppable on an edge.
