Trying to get some answers from the chair of FIFA disciplinary Cttee Mohammad Alkamali about the decision-making process which led to US striker Folarin Balogun avoiding a ban after being sent off, following an intervention from US President Donald Trump

I must be getting confused in my old age. I would have thought that the son of a stockbroker who went to a posh private school, who hangs out with billionnaires etc was The Establishment!
This is the most Nigel Farage thing Nigel Farage has ever done. Stand down in the safest seat Reform holds, then stand again so he can win it back and say: āSee? 20,000 people voted for me, so we can all forget about my dodgy billionaire mate.ā
He is such a fucking drama queen.
I have been the victim of an establishment stitch-up! Dark forces are conspiring to get me out of politics. These mysterious forces have done this by:
-making me hide a £5 million gift from a crypto billionaire then lobby the Bank of England on behalf of crypto billionaires
-forcing me to let a convicted fraudster pay for my staff and security while I have free use of his house
-tricking me into buying two houses for cash
-making me say I bought a house in Clacton then making me change my mind and say my girlfriend bought it, even though she couldnāt afford it, because that meant I would save Ā£44,000 in tax.
I trust this clarifies once and for all how I am very much the innocent party in all this.
Nigel Farage has spent his whole life dodging responsibility for his actions. This new stunt is his latest attempt to escape consequences for his biggest grift. We wonāt let him.
Farage has proven one thing today and one thing only - everything that he does is about one person.
Nigel Farage.
The people of Clacton do not need a media circus descending on their town over a busy tourist season because their MP has made a series of bad decisions.
He should have declared that five million pounds. He knows it. We all know it.
Now he is going to weaponise a by-election to distract from that.
This is going to cost the taxpayer a fortune.
A quarter of a million pounds. Eye-watering sums of money.
Think about what that money could do for the people of Clacton.
Will Farage fund it out of his own pocket?
Because he bloody well should.
This is making a mockery of our entire democratic process.
He made bad decision after bad decision, and concealed money in a way that has spectacularly backfired.
A by-election will not deflect from that fact, and nor should it.
I will be making an announcement later today about Restore Britainās plans for the Clacton by-election.
I proudly boasted about having claimed "zero personal expenses". Which is not surprising when you consider that there is no such thing as 'personal expenses' for MPs, so nobody has claimed any. But I have claimed over £150k in office expenses.
As a wildfire burns in Derbyshire, Richard Stupid Tice confirms it is just weather. But definitely not because Reform have received £24 million from people with fossil fuel interests since 2019.
Record-breaking heat for several days and nights with high humidity join forces to make this week's heatwave truly unprecedented.
How hot will it get? And how long will it last?

If thereās one thing we can learn from the tragic case of Henry Nowak, itās that certain people will cynically use any situation as an opportunity to make it all about them, stir up hatred and division and distract attention from their own wrongdoing. Mention no names.
