Según la Fiscalía: cinco carpetas previas por robo, antecedentes de más de una década, ya había estado en prisión y hasta había imágenes suyas cometiendo presuntos robos en Cuautla.

Estaba en los expedientes. Estaba en las cámaras. Estaba en Cuautla. Información había.

Pero asesinan a Claudia y ¡ah, cabrón!, ahora sí: Defensa, Marina, Guardia Nacional, FGR, SSPC, Fiscalía de Morelos y autoridades locales.

Los Avengers de la seguridad pública buscando al Trompas.

Cruzaron imágenes, revisaron cámaras, compartieron información, coordinaron corporaciones.

Y lo agarraron en cinco días.

Qué bueno.

Pero entonces, ¿TODO ESO NO SE PODÍA HACER ANTES?

Porque después del cadáver resultó que sí había cámaras, sí había información, sí había coordinación, sí había Estado.

Nomás llegó tarde.

Claudia tenía 21 años.

No necesitaba siete corporaciones persiguiendo a su presunto asesino cinco días después.

Necesitaba que alguien hiciera su pinche trabajo cinco días antes. 🦂

You can walk into a Catholic church almost anywhere on earth and know exactly where you are.

You could be in Rome, Poland, Kenya, Mexico, the Philippines, or sitting in a nearly empty parish in Chester County on a Tuesday morning. You may not understand a word being spoken, but you will still recognize the Mass. You will know when to stand, when to kneel, what is happening at the altar, and why everyone came.

That alone is incredible. But then you remember what it took for the Mass to survive.

It was offered in catacombs when Christians had to hide. It was offered in prison camps, during wars, in Irish homes when the faith was persecuted, and in underground churches where being caught could cost people everything. Priests risked their lives to celebrate it. Catholics risked theirs just to be there.

Kings died. Empires collapsed. Borders changed. Whole countries disappeared.

The Mass continued.

And now I get to walk into my church on an ordinary weekday morning and step into the same worship Catholics have carried across centuries.

That is what gets me.

Catholicism is not tied to one country, one culture, one preacher, or one generation. The Church is bigger than all of that.

You can cross an ocean, walk through the doors of a Catholic church, and still know exactly where you are.

While the reported retirement of #WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert is a win for women and an admission that the league’s rules must change, her retirement does not solve the systemic issues which must be addressed in order to protect women’s sports.

If the WNBA is unable to define what a woman is, then I, Enes Kanter Freedom, would be more than happy to step in as commissioner and lead this league back to greatness and restore fairness for all women.

I’ll bring common sense.
I’ll bring fairness.
And yes, I’ll bring a dictionary.
