I suspect Vance’s intervention in British politics will be as ineffective and counterproductive as his intervention on behalf of Viktor Orban in Hungary.
Bienvenue à Paris, cher ami Premier ministre @MichealMartinTD.
So contactless payment is standard on London underground and bus. In fact I can use my AIB card. But I can't use my AIB card on the Luas. The contract to make Dublin transport contactless looks like entering a massive overspend.
They can do it London, but they never seem to able to do it in Dublin even though we run a budget surplus.
I welcome Hungary’s confirmation in Coreper that it will lift its block on the €90bn loan, alongside the readiness of both Hungary and Slovakia to lift their block on the 20th sanctions package.
I'm honored to win this award for our coverage of President Zelensky's historic visit to the Oval Office, and even more grateful for the incredible colleagues I get to work with every day.
We see our home planet as a whole, lit up in spectacular blues and browns. A green aurora even lights up the atmosphere. That's us, together, watching as our astronauts make their journey to the Moon.
@sissenberg@nytimes A correction will appear in tomorrow's print edition:
"A headline with an article on Friday about President Trump’s threats to leave NATO misstated the full name of the body. It is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, not the North American Treaty Organization."
Spoke with @realDonaldTrump@POTUS. Constructive discussion and exchange of ideas on Nato, Ukraine and Iran. Problems are there to be solved, pragmatically.

One way to support workers during the energy crisis is to let them keep more of their own money. Making workers pay the top “luxury” rate of tax on any income above €44k (which is below the average full-time wage) is wrong in my opinion. It should be €50k, if not higher.
Correction.
Sinn Féin voted against cutting excise duty on petrol & diesel.
Remarkably, the only party to vote against cutting the price of your fuel at the the pumps.
Don’t believe the spin.
A St. Patrick’s Day to remember! ☘️
The Ireland–U.S. bond runs deep—an emerald thread running through 250 years of American history. 🇮🇪🇺🇸
A privilege to accompany Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD at the White House and on the Hill to celebrate our nations’ enduring friendship.
