I really need this to reach more people today. 💔
Lauretta has made it through 11 rounds of chemotherapy, but her fight isn’t over yet.
Please help me get this to someone who can help. A donation, repost, or share could make a real difference.
Please don’t give up on my sister.
I randomly think about that time Chelsea fans begged UEFA for that Barca high line and UEFA gave it to them and everyone thought they were bluffing lmaoo
I think it's really time we made serious changes to how we do things in Nigeria.
The reason kidney cases are increasing in Nigeria is a massive increase in hypertension and diabetes. We have crazy levels of these two diseases in Nigeria.
Another reason is constant bacterial or viral infections which cause inflammation of the kidneys.
A third reason is abuse of antibiotics and painkillers (paracetamol and ibuprofen) which weaken your kidney function over time and this happens a lot through self medication.
Fourth is fake medications, adulterated food (like the palm oil in my last post), fake drinks, constant drinking of unregulated herbal mixtures.
All of this means we need NAFDAC, we need serious awareness campaigns for people to do regular health checks, and our ministry of health needs to work with diagnostic centers and co to lower the costs. And selling certain meds without prescription should be banned.
And serious consequences should be visited on fake drug, adulterated food or drinks merchants. They are killing people.
A friend once told me that the optimistic nature of Nigerians makes us believe that we can never be like Somalia. That is why it seems we are not aware that everything is falling apart.
Chelsea setting a hard deadline for Man City’s Enzo bid sets a huge precedent for the transfer market.
The official deadline day won't be the only deadline that matters anymore - clubs will routinely set early cut-offs to stop sagas from dragging into the season. This can become the new norm across Europe.
🗣️ “We knew that nobody wanted Chelsea to win.”
🗣️ “We were the team of the foreign owner.”
🗣️ “We were the team of the billionaire.”
🗣️ “We were the team of: ‘Money buys titles.’”

The Nigerian understanding of God and his ways is very juju coded.
This is why we command our destiny helpers to find us, no different from finding a voodoo doll and putting pins in.
This is why it’s always about what God can do for us, never the holiness he demands of us.
By Making Excuses for Unverified Certificates, We Are Planting Poison in the Soul of Our Society
A nation that tolerates unverified academic credentials at any level of leadership, regardless of who is involved, risks destroying the very standards upon which a society is built. The issue is not about an individual. It is about standards, accountability, and the values we choose to pass on to the next generation.
We cannot continue to excuse blurred, missing, questionable, or unverified credentials simply because they belong to someone we support. The process through which people attain positions of responsibility matters greatly. How we get into leadership is as important as what we do with leadership.
If we normalise the abandonment of basic verification today, tomorrow we may have professors who never attended a university, doctors who never studied medicine, and judges who never studied law.
That is the dangerous precedent we must never allow. Nigeria cannot sacrifice its future on the altar of today's transactional politics. We must build a society where truth is not partisan, standards are not negotiable, and accountability applies equally to everyone.
History will judge us not only by those we defended, but by the principles we were willing to defend. We must choose truth over convenience, standards over sentiments, and the future over political expediency.
A New Nigeria is possible, but only if we are willing to do the right thing, even when it is inconvenient. -PO
Chief, I am a mafian in Christ. In fact, all Catholics are.
The Catholic Church, if you insist on calling her a mafia, is a peculiar one.
Let me tell you chief, we're a family that has outlived empires, buried kings, crowned saints, built the world's oldest continuously operating institutions, preserved knowledge through the darkest centuries, founded universities, pioneered hospitals, cared for the poor, sheltered the abandoned, and preached one Gospel across continents for nearly 2,000 years.
A mafia whose greatest weapon is a crucified King and whose initiation is baptism. Whose code is love of God and neighbour.
Whose headquarters have watched civilizations rise and fall without abandoning the faith once handed down.
Anyone can call it whatever they like.
But if there is any organization whose fingerprints can be found on the history of education, healthcare, charity, art, philosophy, science and human dignity, it is the Catholic Church.
She is not perfect because her members are perfect, but enduring because Christ is.
I believe in the holy Catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
What a beautiful mafia indeed :)
