They blame systemic issues on the HCWs.

1. They hate the doctor because they spend a long time before being seen in a public hospital. Forgetting it’s one doctor alone seeing over 40 patients.

2. They hate the nurse because she’s not by their bedside to feed and change diapers every time. Forgetting she’s the only one nursing over 25 patients.

3. They hate that HCWs don’t run like it’s portrayed in movies. Forgetting the HCW here is overworked and underpaid unlike the ones in movies.

4. They hate that the HCWs send them to buy other things and do some tests outside. Forgetting that it’s not even the HCWs duty to keep those things in the hospital.

This is the reason why doctors need to stop saying too much in front of patients... Imagine telling your colleague "that's too much" in front of the patient... Which you clearly know that they could misunderstand.

The phrase that's too much is not the same as "over dose". Some people like starting with the lower dose of things hence the "that's too much" may not necessarily mean overdose. In medicine you'll get to realise that different doctors have preferences and that's what would guide your practice around them especially if they're senior to you, you may not be necessarily wrong, it may just be that it's not their preference.
