REID HOFFMAN'S ROLE IN 2017 ANTI-TRUMP OPERATIONS

Billionaire Reid Hoffman co-founded LinkedIn and is a controversial Democratic donor.

He funded Christopher Steele, Fusion GPS and their post-2016 election activities to topple the President. Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS were paid by the Clinton campaign and DNC in 2016. After Trump’s victory, Steele and Fusion GPS continued their anti-Trump activities with new patrons, notably Hoffman.

In 2017 Fusion GPS teamed up with a new "non-profit" venture to keep the Russia-Trump Hoax alive. The objective was to support those creating the bogus case for impeachment or even removal of the President via the 25th Amendment.

A former Senate Intelligence Committee staffer, Daniel J. Jones, launched an organization to fund anti-Trump operations, The Democracy Integrity Project (TDIP) . TDIP hired Steele and Fusion GPS to keep spreading lies.

According to FBI interview notes released by Congress, Jones told agents that his private firm (Penn Quarter Group) had secured “the services of Steele and Fusion GPS” to extend the "investigation into Russian interference in the election".

Jones funneled the information they created to U.S. Congressmen and the media. The project’s goal was to influence public officials and opinion. Journalists and congressional staff began receiving daily “collusion” briefing memos from Jones’s outfit .

A 2019 investigation found that key players behind the dossier “rebooted their operation” post-election into a “multimillion-dollar stealth campaign to persuade major media outlets and lawmakers that the president should be impeached.” The dossier team’s new mission was to create and disseminate the false narrative to overthrow the elected President

By May 2017, senior Justice Department officials – Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe – even discussed whether Trump could be “removed from office under the 25th Amendment” following the firing of FBI Director Comey. Steele’s memos and Fusion GPS’s fantasies fed into the effort to remove Trump via impeachment or constitutional means. Ultimately, they succeeded in bringing about the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
