@MrSteveMatchett Great picture of the much younger Steve Matchett with Alistair on that video clip. It would be fantastic if Alistair presented the Constructor's Trophy at Slipperystone today - can't you pull some strings with #JackieStewart or someone? 😃
@BBCOxford All pay & display parking is extortionate. St Giles' car-parking spaces are empty most of the time. Electronic bus information is inaccurate & bus services irregular. Most of the traffic in the city centre is buses & taxis. Is the plan to prohibit these or use of blue badges too?
I'm going to miss all your lovely, informative, amusing Tweets when I have to leave. #ElonMusk is ruining what has been an invaluable source of information. Hopefully I'll run into some of you again, but if not - remember when it was good & I wish ya all the best. #BlockTwitter

Has the #GreenCrossCode been superseded or abolished? It seems that the majority of pedestrians in #Oxfordshire have no regard for road safety... is it still taught to school children? Where's the Green Cross Man when you need him...
Misleading choice of words used here... I think that the 'homeland' of a 'portrait' is the place in which it was painted. I believe #JoshuaReynolds painted it in England, or am I wrong in this instance?
Joshua Reynolds’s 'Portrait of Mai' currently hangs in London's National Portrait Gallery—but soon it may travel to its Polynesian homeland @NPGLondon@TahitiMusee https://t.co/521sRiPRrB
It was fantastic to see Hall alumnus & Honorary Fellow John Cox (1955, English) & artist David Hockney taking a curtain call on stage for the first night of 'The Rake’s Progress' at @glyndebourne, attended by the Hall Principal & Domestic Bursar last Friday. (1/2)
War, dishonest MPs, corrupt politics, recession and @BBCNews headlines a #ScoutJamboree being cancelled due to health and safety instead - Really? I feel so well-informed now...
We’re delighted to share that @WillGompertzBBC has been appointed as our new Director! 🎉
Will joins us from the @BarbicanCentre and will succeed @BruceABoucher at the end of the year. Our heartfelt thanks to Bruce, and welcome aboard, Will! 👋

@NationalGallery Moroni - because that dress has a WOW! factor against the simply grey background. The lighting lifts the air of the picture and that chair is so very stylish, like the sitter.
A good end to the week, by adding a copy of the #ErnstGombrich book, The Sense of Order to my collection from an #Oxford 2nd hand bookshop …even more so when I realised that he’d signed it with a personal note to another #ArtHistorian inside it. 😃
