The most ironic thing is that the more Martin dedicates himself to the team, the more everyone else gets to enjoy the benefits of his hard work without a second thought.

He sacrifices his own rest, stays up all night, and takes on responsibilities that should be shared by everyone, yet what does he get in return? Not appreciation or understanding, but people laughing at him as if none of it matters. Someone who constantly puts the team before himself does not deserve to be treated this way.

The company cannot keep relying on Martin’s talent, hard work, and sense of responsibility while turning a blind eye to everything he does. Nor should the members mistake his kindness and patience for something they can endlessly take advantage of.

Martin deserves to have his efforts recognized, and he deserves the respect that comes with being their leader.

How long are you gonna keep up this act.

Every time something happens to Martin, you all go dead silent. But the second it’s not even his fault alone, you somehow manage to pin the whole thing on him. This isn’t the first time. It’s always the same script: something goes wrong with the group—company, process, other members, whatever—and it ends up being “Martin messed up again” or “Martin’s getting dragged again.” Then the same people who say they miss him every day start talking about sending him a Weverse fan letter to scold him. Have you forgotten he’s 2008 ? He’s barely an adult and only just over a year into his debut.

Same thing with this whole “imitating a Black accent” drama. It didn’t even start as just Martin. The video that kicked it off during the fanwar had other members in it too, but then someone pulled Martin out by himself and suddenly all the heat was on him. It’s the group’s style and way of speaking, yet it always gets reduced to “Martin’s problem.” You say you miss him, but you’re also the ones who cause him the most trouble and throw him under the bus the fastest.

How many times has this been now? These hypocritical OT4s stay quiet when it’s time to say “this isn’t just on him,” but get real active when it’s time to redirect the fire. Missing him doesn’t mean staying silent when he’s getting attacked and then piling on in the comments and fan letters. If you actually believe he’s still just a kid growing up, stop making him the scapegoat for every group issue.

This whole thing started because a COER thought Martin’s voice in a Korean ad sounded like he was putting on a Black accent, and then non-fans jumped in saying he was mocking Black people.

Martin has talked so many times about how much he respects and loves Black musicians and rappers. If that influenced his accent at all, it just shows he actually wants to learn from them—not that he’s intentionally imitating or mocking anyone. There’s zero reason to assume he has any ill intent toward Black people. But some K-pop fans and COERs come in with their minds already made up and start criticizing him, so of course they’re never going to see it any other way.

How many times has this exact thing happened to Martin? Certain people who just don’t like him or CORTIS love taking whatever he does and blowing it up so they can paint him as this terrible person. Is that actually who he is though?

I’m really disappointed in some of these group fans. You’re nowhere to be found when it’s time to vote, but the second there’s a chance to drag Martin, you’re suddenly the most active ones. Is this fandom just not big enough for Martin and the people who support him? Can we please just love him a little more.
