@CosmSecret And no Toriel is not a biblical name, Tony fox is just a genius.
ALSO to go back to your question, if you ask the Gnostics, the Jewish God is a false evil and is named "Yaldabeoth", the real God preached by Jesus has a name unknown to man. If you knew it, you'd explode probably
@CosmSecret Because El derives from the Mesopotamian Pantheon for the father creator God, which became synonymous with Yahweh during the reign of Judah. El is used in Gensis and Psalms so like really really anchient texts. El shows up in many biblical names. Like Gabriel, Michael, and Asirel
@CosmSecret There are many other names for God in the Bible because its been passed down through entire cultures. El, Ellohim, Theos, Kyrios, Abba etc. From Hebrew, to Arabic, to Greek and the endless Latin and English retranslations. It's pretty cool :3
@CosmSecret Fun fact: God in the old testament aka Torah DOES have a name! He's referred to as "YHWH" (Yahweh) and the name itself is called Tetragrammaton. Yahweh is hebrew for "to exist"/"exister". However in the new testiment God is referred to by LORD in caps, like the Tetragrammaton.
