BTW, the national United Church you included here doesn’t have say over this kind of decision. Congregations have a fair bit of autonomy. Maybe ask if there can be a conversation about this? Apologies if you tried and it was no.

And, I think the rules binding trustees are also a factor here. Plus the diverse communities using that building likely have diverse opinions.
