@scraphamster@mrjamesmayhew I used to run the MA in Children's Literature at Goldsmiths College. We used Rosie's walk as an example of an early postmodern text. If you read the words they provide a "counterpoint" to the illustrations. If you want to find out more about the theory, look up our MA!
Just reading this wonderful new autobiography. I was aware of her version for children "Coming to England" before, and had used it in my teaching on @GoldUnivMACL . However this book makes me realise how little I knew about such an inspirational woman. Highly recommended.
@Naidoo_J2J So pleased to hear. I have used this article in its original form many times when teaching about you, your books and the endless debate about "the right to write". Definitely time it got a re-publication. Looking forward to working with you again in March!
Under 2 weeks to go until the fundraiser gig at @CBTavern featuring Lewisham bands @ThePinheads1 and The Grey Cats on behalf of @volunteering_uk #WeAre60 campaign. It's going to be a fun night!
If you click on the photos, you can do 'then' and 'now' with them..about 37 years apart.
Michael Rosen and his son Joe look back: ‘I am gooning about, but this photo is tinged with sadness’ https://t.co/0A6GcNjza6
My last teaching session ever at @GoldUnivMACL with the wonderful @MichaelRosenYes. Good luck to all our MACL students, and especially these ones on the Children's Literature in Action module for sharing my final moments in the classroom! I will miss you all.
