I've been watching the celebrations for the return of the Norwegian football team from the USA. That's how you greet the return of a football team. The German football team deserved better. They already did better than over 80 million other people in the country.
@BettinaSRoss1 My GP still has surgeries for respiratory infections. There are still plenty of patients there. Patients are still being tested, and the numbers can still be passed on to RKI for statistics.
@txgermanbre I was a weekend commuter for over 20 years. I know lots of people who travel between home and workplace for the week; some between other EU countries and Germany; even some between the UK and Germany.
@txgermanbre In Germany there is no obligation to provide a kitchen and/or appliances. There has to be connections for water, electricity, and where applicable, gas.
@txgermanbre@Timstillherelol No need to feel bad. It is your right if you are working and paying tax. The German state sees benefit in you bonding closely with your child in the first 36 months.
@txgermanbre You can have up to 36 months. The father can also take the parental leave or you can split it. There is no minimum for parental leave. Technically, you can go back to work immediately after the birth, if you want to.
@CeliaBedelia I was also diagnosed with low vitamin D (measured at 4). Taking the high-dose supplements worked well for me (I'm now down to 2,000IU/day). I am a vegetarian, but if you are not you could try eating more fatty fish (cod liver oil is a good start).
@TraceyGMatthies@DrNeilStone Same here. A mammogram picked up my breast cancer very early too. It was/is fairly easy to treat and am now, after 2 years, in clinical remission.
@BettinaSRoss1 I travelled by train last week (2 6-hour trips). I wore a mask the whole time. It's the first time no one has commented on it, given me strange looks and/or sneezed or coughed on me. I was pleasantly suprised.
