We used her as An example of never being to young to make a difference, being a catalyst for change. But all of this was a conversation started because they DID discuss with their science teacher!

I miss the days where learning was not supposed to be about the circus created. No negative comments or even suggestions. I'm just venting and frustrated for that young man cause we hear it all the time and I know his heart for kids.

I'm triggered. Some lessons, skills, strategies are not going to hoops and hollas and that should be ok! I'm sick of hearing "engaged" and "rigor" but especially "engaged". You know why? I just read a post and the TA was frustrated that a young man was refusing to do work

That was meant for him. Every comment to this TA is about how HE is not engaging the student. Same with teachers. How WE are not making our lesson to hold the attention. Well. Just shut up. Learning times tables was not engaging but it's damn sure been beneficial.
