Wow… Delta (@zeddotdev) is pretty cool. I try a new harness pretty much every day, and it’s nice to see someone trying something different.
My biggest pet peeve with them is that AI already puts some distance between devs and their code, but most harnesses seem to go out of their way to keep us as uninvolved as possible. Delta seems to get that.
Gotta tell you, Opus 5.5 just finished writing "The Silk Book". I'm reading it, and for a moment it feels like I know what I'm doing..
It's a shame only agents will read it
The latest @foldkit Blocks + Effect Layers preview is ready. I’ll keep refining it as feedback comes in.
What’s new:
- Simpler root setup: compose your application from Blocks, then pass the root ApplicationBlock to Program.make.
- Cleaner child OutMessage policies with better inference.
- Better support for optional children with keyed identities.
- Separate guides for migrating from stable and upgrading an earlier preview.
Installation instructions and copyable migration prompts are in the PR description.

@EffectTS_ gave effect-harness distribution for free.
You can run the loop in a VM, send messages from a client on another machine, store your credentials elsewhere, and run every tool you provide in its own location.
Want your CLI on VM1 but your filesystem on VM2? Go ahead, I'm not judging.
I'm writing (okay, Claude is writing) all the https://t.co/8jwLXLT7dj docs from scratch. It's wild how big a compiler is, even a new one like Silk. Shout out to the compiler authors who did this before AI. I wasn't built with that determinism.
One of my favorite recent Silk features: `silk changes`.
Built-in versioning, similar to Changesets.
Plus a `since` command that lists changes and migration tips since your installed dependency version, so your agents know exactly how to migrate.
