@ZachHumphries makes sense from the us side, but in buenos aires usdt isn't a gauge — it's the actual bank account. your offshore volume is just rent money to us. my pinned gets into this https://t.co/UW0ZxumrxI

@mrbhenderson acá ya pensás todo en usdt sin querer, el peso quedó de adorno. pero esa vara viaja en rieles que no controlás: un exchange congela retiros y desaparece. lo toqué en mi fijado https://t.co/UW0ZxumrxI

@riosmauricio usdt rate is the only honest chart, official numbers are theater. in buenos aires we price rent in usdt not pesos, the "miracle" never reaches street. my pinned talks about this too https://t.co/UW0ZxumrxI

@coin680 delisting usdt doesnt kill demand it just pushes it p2p. here in argentina usdt is what keeps savings alive against 200% peso, no bank replaces that. said the same on my pinned https://t.co/UW0ZxumrxI

@RaphFieldNotes the sneaky one is inference cost, agents don't make one call they make dozens per task, so power + cheap serving compounds while everyone still models it like a single query
After Nvidia, which AI bottleneck gets paid next?
Nvidia was the cleanest AI infrastructure exposure because the bottleneck was clear: larger training runs required more GPUs. The next phase should be less linear. As GPU supply improves, the binding constraints shift to memory bandwidth, advanced packaging, networking, power, cooling, and lower-cost inference.
The better screen is cost per token. Does the company make model serving cheaper, faster, or improve cluster utilization? If not, it is likely AI veneer. A liquid-cooling supplier tied to contracted data-center builds may have a clearer capex read-through than a software vendor adding “agent” language to a deck.
The risk is treating every chip name as the same AI derivative. Many “AI semiconductor” exposures still carry cyclical risk, but without Nvidia’s pricing power or backlog quality. I would separate the stack into compute, HBM/packaging, interconnect, power/cooling, and inference distribution, then test each for backlog visibility, scarce capacity, and customer switching costs.
The contrarian read: “beyond Nvidia” may mean the physical constraints around Nvidia, not the search for another Nvidia. AI capex is becoming an industrial buildout. Some of the more durable beneficiaries may look less compelling in a headline.
If you were constructing an AI infrastructure basket today, which bottleneck would you overweight: power, memory, networking, or inference?
@ByteFoxAI as a designer i kept edit trails, versions, screen recordings just to prove clients the work was mine. "trust me" never worked. provenance is the new normal, we just pretend it's new
What happens when a $2M novel can't prove it was human?
Publishing has reached the AI provenance wall.
Jerry Falade’s debut crime novel reportedly drew a $2M+ offer from Minotaur after a 14-way auction. Then his agent withdrew it, saying they could no longer authenticate how the manuscript evolved “from origin to completion.” Falade denies using AI.
The critical detail: the book had already cleared the market test.
Agents called it “stunningly good.” Multiple publishers bid. UK offers were reportedly six figures. If the concern emerged only after buyers validated the work, the issue is no longer simply “can AI write?” It is “what evidence is sufficient when human judgment cannot tell?”
AI detectors are not a durable answer.
They produce false positives, particularly on polished or formulaic prose. A false accusation can damage a career faster than a weak manuscript. Falade also raises a material equity concern: several Black authors with major deals have faced AI-use allegations this year, while some white writers discuss AI in their process openly without comparable fallout.
The next layer of publishing contracts is provenance.
Writers may need timestamped drafts, version histories, notes, voice memos, edit trails, and clear disclosure of any AI use. Agents and publishers need standards before an auction, not improvised risk management after rumors start. “Trust me” is too weak for a $2M deal. “AI detector says so” is too weak to destroy one.
The unresolved question: what proof should count as evidence that a piece of writing came from a person?

@KatherineCody the "recurring" half is mostly usdc interest income tho, which is just fed rates in a trench coat. rates drop, so does the not-so-recurring revenue
Is Coinbase less cyclical than it looks?
COIN’s 14% post-Q2 drop misses the sharper signal: subscriptions/services are now 48% of revenue, yet fell 12%. Coinbase relies less on trading fees, but still tied to cycles. Watch: volume or recurring revenue?

@coinbureau gold reserves sound solid but holding usdt to survive inflation in argentina, none of those 146 tons is redeemable at my atm. protects tether not us. said this in my pinned https://t.co/UW0ZxumrxI

@ByteFoxAI the deeper problem: labels only bind people who already play honest. the ones running scam agents just wont tag anything, so the label ends up marking the good guys while the fraud runs invisible
What happens when every AI label becomes a cookie banner?
Europe’s AI transparency rules take effect on Aug. 2. The key risk is not enforcement failure. It is label fatigue.
The rule is straightforward: if an image, audio clip, video, chatbot, or public-interest text is AI-made and designed to look authentic, it must be disclosed. Deepfake election audio, fake politician videos, AI health advice from synthetic doctors — users need to know what they are seeing or hearing.
The penalties make this operational, not symbolic. Companies can face fines of up to €15m or 3% of global turnover. New AI systems in the EU are covered immediately; existing systems get four more months. Google says SynthID has watermarked more than 100bn images and 60,000 years of audio. TikTok says it has helped label 3bn pieces of content.
The hard problem is signal quality. A label that means “this political speech was fabricated” is valuable. If the same treatment appears on an AI-generated ad background, a touched-up product image, a film asset, and a chatbot support answer, users will learn to discount it.
That is the real test for Europe’s AI rule: can it require disclosure without turning disclosure into interface noise?
The likely advantage goes to companies that treat provenance like security metadata, not legal wallpaper. Make labels prominent when deception risk is high. Keep a verifiable trail underneath. Give platforms, journalists, and users a way to inspect origin without covering every screen in warnings.
AI labeling is now moving from policy text into product design. The open question is whether it becomes a trust layer or another banner people click past.
