When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons.
Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.
former PM Golda Meir
❗️ Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing intelligence data, said that Russia is now looking for ways to freeze the armed conflict in Ukraine
According to Zelenskyy, not because Russia wants peace, but because it needs to rebuild its military capabilities. If this happens, Zelenskyy predicts that in 2028 Russia will attack again - this time not only Ukraine, but also the Baltic states and possibly other countries.
Zelenskyy said this while speaking in the city of Granada in Spain at the European Political Community Summit.
"Russian propagandists call EU countries the following targets. Dear European leaders, do you have enough underground shelters in your cities to organize schools for children? Just in case threats from Russia become a reality? Russia is currently developing scenarios for the next years. And one of them is particularly dangerous," Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned.
According to him, Moscow has not abandoned its goal "to seize more imperial space and prevent Europe from being a space of free nations and effective democracies," Zelenskyy said. These plans can only be broken if Russia is defeated in the war in Ukraine. "It is necessary to win in Ukraine so that Putin cannot scale the aggression" - Zelenskyy said.
He urged EU countries to remain united despite the problems that have arisen with US support for Ukraine funding, expressing confidence that the US will continue to support Kyiv as well. Zelenskyy called for the delivery of new air defense systems, artillery, shells, long-range missiles and drones to Ukraine.
If America really does come first, then aid for Ukraine would be drastically increased. Aid to Ukraine helps Ukrainians fulfill the entire NATO mission, reduces risk of war with China, and bolsters international law. The border does not belong in the same conversation.
It was just a matter of time before I got my first community notes.
Out of curiosity - are likes disappearing from the first Elon #vatniksoup, too?
https://t.co/UfkMSNYnmr
Elon Musk is shadowbanning pro-Ukraine accounts.
After @michaeldweiss post has proven even by Twitter official disclaimer that "every 3 hours this tweet has it's likes removed" and after in the last 1 month I saw a change in "top searches" tailored for me, where Liverpool FC (my favourite team) was more present than russian's illigal invasion, I am sure that pro-Ukrainian accouts are shadowbanned.
There not much we can do. I do not want to leave the plaform to go into another one where is only an echochamber. I am here just to fight with the russian dissinformation, not to rehear my own thoughts in other people's posts. I am here to help, but for that i need your support. And I am here to learn, to educate myself. Leaving for another platform will not fix any of this problems.
This is a reminder that when someone like @elonmusk has the gates to the "freedom of speech" and he does absplutely the opposite of what he calls himself, an absolutist, we as a society are in big trouble.
My medium reach of posts regarding war, missinformation, analysis and Night Summaries was around 450.000 people. Let's see how far this post will reach.
(Picture is for ilustrative purposes only, from when I was in Kharkiv Oblast, last year. It's a AFU tank, don't worry)
"It was a shop with a cafe nearby. There were locals in the store, locals in the cafe, where the memorial service for a local resident was held. In total, there were about 60 people on the territory. 50 died, including a 6-year-old girl," - Minister of Internal Affairs about today's strike on Groza village in Kharkiv region.
"There were 330 residents in this village. From each family, from each yard, one person attended the memorial dinner," the minister said.
About each sixth resident of the village was killed.
This is the largest strike in Kharkiv region since the beginning of the war. By preliminary conclusions, it was an Iskander missile.
Deepest condolences to the loved ones of the killed and wounded people.
In Russia, three Aeroflot planes broke down in one day
The Boeing 777 was unable to take off from Phuket due to landing gear damage and flight SU275 was cancelled. At the same time, 400 passengers heading to Turkey were stuck in Moscow. They tried to deliver them to Antalya twice: the first plane was urgently returned due to an engine fire, the second one also turned out to be broken , Russian media writes.
Planes of Russian airlines now break down twice as often. From January to August 2023 alone, 120 breakdowns were recorded. Most often, engines and chassis fail.

Since Boeing and Airbus stopped supplying spare parts, maintenance and support to Russian airlines in March 2022, non-certified services are now fixing breakdowns.
Are sanctions still not working?
..media platform that works like a "marketplace of ideas" - a philosophy where the "best" ideas from the likes of alleged human trafficker/rapist @cobratate & QAnon-affiliated @RepMTG rise to the top - & said that Musk should "liberate Twitter from the censorship happy mob".

Let's start with the obvious: Elon's tweets have enormous effect on Twitter & his tweets have a big audience. Every tweet he likes or comments gets a huge boost in the algorithm & is then shown to tens of millions of people. Some have called his replies a "stamp of approval".

In today's #vatniksoup, I'll introduce a South African-American(!) businessman and social media figure, Elon Musk (@elonmusk). He's best-known for being the wealthiest man in the world, running Tesla Inc., SpaceX & Twitter, and for parroting Kremlin's propaganda narratives.

Dear @Support - it seems that people are experiencing disappearing likes/shares on various posts, including this thread critical of the site's owner:

If this is a bug, maybe it would be a good time to make an announcement about it and/or fix it.
If anyone wants to know what we got for our military support for Ukraine (besides helping to defend a fellow democracies brutally invaded by a neighbor) think about this:
➡️ For $43b in US spending (and a nearly equal amount by Euros), Ukraine destroyed half the Russian army 1/3
This. Making concessions to a medieval-style empire with no future is a self-inflicted suicide for the West. Only benefits the immoral grifters (of whom, as we found out, there are many).
Moreover, when I see grown-up people with power being delusional and scared of Russia here in Europe, I feel such disgust I almost feel they deserve to go down.
But all these people are missing one thing: the Ukrainians will never give up and surrender, and millions of us, the common folk from around the globe, will stand with Ukraine until the end. You can try anything but you will never break us because we are right, and we will be victorious.
⚡ Senators issue joint statement confirming Ukraine support.
Following a passage of a bill to avoid a government shutdown, top U.S. Senate leaders issued a rare bipartisan statement affirming their commitment to Ukraine.

1/ Russian soldiers are finding that it is far easier to be sent to war than it is to get the promised veterans' benefits from the state after returning home. The situation is particularly bad for ex-Wagner fighters, who appear to have been obstructed by the Russian MOD. ⬇️
You were given the choice between war and dishonour.
You chose dishonour and you will have war,”
said Winston Churchill, on Neville Chamberlain, shortly after the infamous 'appeasement' of Hitler, 29th September 1938 in Munich.
