A7: Collective efficacy is a huge part of disrupting poverty. Not only does it increase student achievement, but it allows for the quick flow of ideas and resources between fellow teachers that can disrupt poverty. #mhspln

A5: It is amazing how a simple handshake w/ a smile or greeting by the door can be used as a tool for creating relationships. One of my favorites. #mhspln

@GFuhrCoach4eve1 I think we also need to be more aware of how many students in our own classes live in poverty. I can guess but I might miss some.

A4: Some of my students that live in poverty don’t turn in their work. After I realized that it was a resource issue, I extended time on assignments or allowed time in class to use computers #mhspln

Q3: I believe that students can feel defeated about living in poverty. Like if the world was working against them. That’s why support and encouragement can be a game changer for our kids #mhspln
